Biography
Cazna has been committed to the Kia Ora Hauora kaupapa since its inception in 2010.
Her leadership of the national programme and work in her whānau-owned business, Mokowhiti Ltd, is focussed on improving the future for Māori by designing solutions that realise whānau, hapū and iwi aspirations.
Cazna believes Kia Ora Hauora is about transforming the Māori health workforce and helping to drive intergenerational change in the health sector to grow Māori leadership and create better health outcomes for all Māori.
She has been involved in setting up numerous Māori businesses and Māori development organisations, including Te Putahitanga o Te Waipounamu, the South Island Whānau Ora Commissioning Agency, as well as Tū Māia, a consultancy specialising in Māori leadership, innovation and venture development.
Cazna has dedicated her career to building capability within Te Ao Māori on the foundations of rangatiratanga, whanaungatanga and manaakitanga.
